The Research Centre Biotecnologie BT has developed a strong internal know-how to evaluate the efficacy of the agrochemical products and biocides on different target (insects, fungi and weeds). This preliminary screening can be done in laboratory (ex bioassay on different stage of insects) and in the greenhouse.

Furthermore Biotecnologie BT is specialized in GLP studies to support the registration of agrochemicals, biocides, chemical and biological products in Europe. Our Centre is able to evaluate the activity of biocides on different insects by performing different type of tests.

BT can perform preliminary tests to evaluate the effectiveness and activity of the products and is able to offer experimental and consultancy services to companies, in support of development and registration, carrying out a full range of testing, including

• terrestrial and aquatic ecotoxicology studies
• efficacy trials
• laboratory and semi-field studies on:
• non-target plant
• non-target arthropods
• earthworms
• honeybees
• environmental impact assessment
• microbiological tests
• physic-chemical characterization

All the studies are carried out in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice , following International testing guidelines (OECD) or, if not available, by developing its own protocols.

In the last years, Biotecnologie BT has created a network of laboratories and consultants in order to offer a complete registration service according to the REACh requirements.
